I believe there is still time to reform the out-dated system of title deeds in Cyprus. According to my view the two parts are victims of the bureaucracy who delays systematically to give a solution to this problem. After all it's the official authorities’ responsibility to issue title deeds on time and protect the rights of owners and developers.

I live near the Monte Liza wedding venue in Mesogi (actually about 1 mile from it) every weekend without fail there is loud Greek music coming from there which we can hear inside our Villa with all windows and doors closed until at least 1.00 am sometimes even 2 or 3. I find it annoying that police can park across the road from this venue doing speed traps etc. but appear to turn a deaf ear to the music! I am a musician myself and don't object to loud music but - I do however object to the double standards being employed towards musicians who have to play at a whisper in British run bars and the Cypriot musicians (or musicians/ Karaoke DJs that play in Cypriot run establishments) who can play as loud as to make your ears bleed until the early hours. This comment also applies to the strip in Coral Bay too - music is blasting from most bars here until well after 1.00 am. It is about time this corrupt practice was reported to the European Commission so that a level playing field could be applied to all (a sensible thing is to adopt the decibel reading approach).

Not knowing what caused this unsocial behavior one is hard put to comment on exactly who was behaving antisocially: the tourists or the police. Is there more background info available somewhere?
